Wedding Photo Albums – From Traditional To End

Wedding photo albums are priceless pieces of memorabilia for the bride and groom and all who shared the day with them. Traditionally, we’ve seen them take the form of large books with single pages of pictures attached to them in different creative ways. Many times these will be leather bound books. Today however, with new technology surrounding us everywhere we turn, but our choices are no longer limited to the traditional styles of the past. Let’s take a look at some of the creative ideas and alternatives to the traditional albums.

Going digital. Digital picture frames have become all the rage in recent years. With a digital picture frame you have many options on how you would like to display your wedding photos. Aside from the fact that additional frames can, on average, store more pictures than your traditional photo album, you also have the option of visual effects and slide shows. Also there is no wear and tear on your pictures. No sun fade to worry about or cracking of the photos. Plus, another advantage to using a digital photo album is that you can keep it out all the time without looking like you are bullying your guests into looking through it.

Self publishing. Maybe the digital picture frame is not for you. Maybe you would like something a little bit more traditional but more up to date, or possibly with a twist of your own. For you, a high quality coffee table book depicting your wedding day might be a better choice. With a layout similar to a magazine or newspaper your pictures are printed directly onto the paper. This is a great choice for a sitting room or any area where folks gather and sit. Depending on how traditional more modern you would like to go with your wedding photo albums you have your choice for the binding that will hold your precious moments.

Use the Interwebs. If the digital picture frames are not cutting edge enough for you and self publishing is too traditional then maybe an online wedding photo album is just the thing for you. You could create your own website as an interactive photo experience dedicated to your special day. Of course, there are several advantages and disadvantages to this style. Unless you have the audio/video wherewithal to browse the web on your television set it may not be as easy to show guests the site as a group. On the other hand, if you do have the wherewithal it can be a far more enjoyable experience than letting one or two people at a time look at it. One of the advantages it would provide is that anyone with Internet connectivity could share those moments with you regardless of how far away they are, and you have the possibility of sharing with a much larger audience.
